# Uncredited Cores

## Identify core charges that have been paid but not yet credited, ensuring cash is not unnecessarily tied up in inventory.

#### **How It Works**

The system flags part line items that meet the following criteria:

- **Category:** Any core type
- **Status:** No associated credit
- **Date Range:** Current month

#### **Why It Matters**

Uncredited cores can accumulate to **hundreds or even thousands of dollars each month**. Missing these credits represents a significant and often hidden profit leak.

#### **Recommended Fix Actions**

To resolve uncredited core items:

1. **Verify the core was returned** and documented properly.
2. **Contact the vendor** to request or follow up on missing credit memos.
