Deleted Repair Orders Report

The Deleted Repair Orders Report identifies repair orders (ROs) that were removed from the Shop Management System (SMS). Deleted ROs can indicate errors, improper workflow, or potential theft or manipulation.

How It Works

The report filters and displays ROs based on the following criteria:

  • RO Type: Deleted

  • Date Range: Recent activity, with a default filter of the current month


Why It’s Important

Deleted ROs may hide critical issues, including:

  • Parts removed from the system but already installed on a vehicle

  • Labor or work performed but not billed

  • Potential fraudulent behavior by employees attempting to conceal activity


Recommended Fix Actions

When a deleted RO is identified, immediately review:

  1. Associated part purchases to ensure no parts were removed without proper billing

  2. Open transactions around the RO’s deletion date for inconsistencies

  3. Service advisor activity logs to verify who deleted the RO and why
