Google Drive Integration in WickedFile

The Google Drive Integration in WickedFile allows users to upload and sync documents directly from their Google Drive into the platform. This integration provides flexibility for one-time uploads and, for eligible accounts, automated recurring syncs from selected Google Drive folders.

Uploaded or synced documents can be tagged and assigned to a shop location.

Users can choose whether subfolders should be included in a recurring sync.


Accessing the Integration

  1. Navigate to System Settings and then Integrations in WickedFile.

  2. Select Google Drive Integration from the list.

  3. Log in using your Google account to authorize the connection.

One-Time File Upload

Use this option when uploading documents manually.

Steps:

  1. Click Select PDFs to Upload.

  2. Choose one or more PDF files from your Google Drive.

  3. Assign each file to a shop location and optional category.

  4. Confirm and save.

Recurring Sync (Paid Accounts Only)

Recurring Sync enables automated and continuous uploading of files from a Google Drive folder into WickedFile.

Note: This feature is only available for paid WickedFile accounts with 7 or more active shop locations.

Steps:

  1. Click Add Folders to Sync.

  2. Select a folder from your Google Drive.

  3. Choose whether to include subfolders in the sync.

  4. Assign the folder to a shop location.

  5. Save your configuration.

Once configured, WickedFile will automatically import new files placed in that folder on an ongoing basis.


Best Practices

  • Use separate Google Drive folders for each shop or document type to stay organized.

  • Only use Recurring Sync if your account meets the eligibility requirements (paid + 7+ locations).

  • Regularly review synced documents in WickedFile to verify correct shop assignment and categorization.

  • Avoid renaming, deleting, or relocating folders linked to active syncs.

Security & Compliance

  • This integration uses the Google Drive API for secure file transfer.

  • WickedFile does not store Google login credentials; authentication is securely handled by Google.

  • WickedFile’s Google Drive integration is not endorsed by Google and follows the Google API Terms of Service and trademark policies.


Troubleshooting

Issue

Solution

Can’t enable Recurring Sync

Ensure your account is paid and has 7 or more locations.

Files not appearing in WickedFile

Verify file type, correct folder selection, and that sync is active.

Sync stopped working

Reconnect your Google Drive from the Integrations settings.

Files assigned incorrectly

Edit file details in WickedFile or adjust sync folder shop settings.
